Antique book dated 1858 all about the history of the Battles of Republic by Sea and Land. It shows wear, spine isn’t attached to the hardback cover like it should be, writing on the cover page via fountain pen that reads “Miss Zelphia Whitney, Xmas 1887 from her Grandfather”, how cool is that! The pages have discoloration with water stains, finger prints as I believe this was a history book used in school. Hardcover even has tape holding it together.
Included with the book is a postcard with the principal schedule in the Great Naval Battle Spectacle, dated 1909 with pencil writing near the bottom, good condition for its age.
